Jonathan is a graduate of Sheffield University in Business Studies and Japanese.  On graduation, he worked in Osaka for three years and since then has worked in travel, recruitment and is the joint founder and owner of Abeno Okonomi-yaki Japanese Restaurants.

​A fluent Japanese speaker, Jonathan has lectured in Japan and advised clients in the food manufacturing, retailing and classic car sectors.  He also has translated for Japanese government agencies and corporate clients in a variety of industries.

Jonathan has also been featured in the Japanese media on a number of occasions.

Elize graduated in Economics from Konan University and worked for Deloitte and Tohmatsu Consulting and as a television reporter before moving to London in 1989.

 Since 1993, Elize has been the joint founder and owner of Abeno Okonomi-yaki Restaurants, the world's first Michelin-listed Okonomi-yaki establishment.

A fluent English speaker, Elize has advised UK-based food manufacturers and retailers in Japanese cuisine and has also translated for a number of corporate clients in different sectors of the economy.

Elize has also been featured on Japanese television focussing on her work in London.
